THE INCITE CONSORTIUM MET IN RAVENNA, ITALY TO DISCUSS THE PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT
INCITE MEETING HELD IN RAVENNA
The INCITE’s project held its 5th Progress Meeting on the 21 and 22 March 2022 in Ravenna (Italy). The meeting has been organized by our Italian partner Endura. We had the chance to meet in the Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste, which is a beautiful building located in the city centre of Ravenna.
We discussed the following subjects during the meeting:
1st day: Updates on process innovation, design, and engineering of the two demonstrations plants in Belgium and in Italy, and site and construction preparations
2nd day: Update on knowledge transfer activities, business development and training
Endura invited its partners to visit its plant, which is located in an industrial area next to Ravenna.
The next meeting will be held online end of June 2022. The process innovations will continue as well as the engineering of the two demo plants. The construction preparations of the plants are ongoing.
The INCITE project brings together eight European partners from four countries. It has received € 13.3 M from the EU’s Horizon 2020 Programme for the topic “efficient integrated downstream processes” (CE-SPIRE-04-2019). The project aims to demonstrate novel integrated up- and downstream processing paths involving flow chemistry and membrane technology in chemo-enzymatic processes. The modularity and flexibility of the developed processes will be showcased through two demonstration plants, which will be based in Belgium and Italy.
