Yamini Satyawali, Research scientist at VITO gave us a lecture about ‘Membrane based solutions for intensification of enzymatic processes’.

Biocatalysis has proven its potential for safe, selective and sustainable synthesis of commodity, bulk, fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. For implementing a biocatalytic process in industry, the challenges associated with both the biocatalyst and the process need to be solved. Process intensification plays an important role in this direction. In this Webinar, Yamini Satyawali spoke about use of membranes in intensification of enzymatic processes, with examples of esters and chiral amine synthesis.
