INCITE GENERAL ASSEMBLY WAS HELD IN GHENT
The INCITE’s project held its General Meeting on the 27th and 28th of September 2021 in Ghent (Belgium). The meeting has been hosted by the Ghent University. It was the first time since March 2020 that we came together due to the sanitary crisis, so we were particularly happy to see each other again in person. We discussed the following subjects:
1st day: Updates on process innovation, design and engineering of the two demonstrations plants (Belgium and Italy) and site and construction preparations
2nd day: Update on knowledge transfer activities, business development and training
The next meeting will be held in January 2022. The process innovations will continue as well as the engineering of the two demo plants. The on-site assembly of the plants will start soon.
The INCITE project brings together eight European partners from four countries. It has received € 13.3 M from the EU’s Horizon 2020 Programme for the topic “efficient integrated downstream processes” (CE-SPIRE-04-2019). The project aims to demonstrate novel integrated up- and downstream processing paths involving flow chemistry and membrane technology in chemo-enzymatic processes. The modularity and flexibility of the developed processes will be showcased through two demonstration plants.
